However, lost in his muddling of soil for making carts and pots, Gorobakaka inadvertently trampled over the baby without realizing it. It was only when his wife returned and broke the news to him that he came to his senses. Deeply remorseful, he cremated the baby. But by the grace of Vitthala, the baby came back to life, and Gorobakaka's wife also became a devotee of Vitthala.

On one occasion, a fair of saints, including Nivrittinath, Saint Dnyaneshwar, Sopandev, Muktabai, Saint Namdev, Chokhamela, Visoba Khechar, and others, gathered at Ter-Dhoki. At the request of Saint Dnyaneshwar, Sant Gorobakaka conducted a test by hitting everyone on the head to assess the firmness of their faith.
