Top Gun: Maverick India OTT Premiere: Tom Cruise-Starrer to Release on Prime Video on December 26

 


Top Gun: Maverick will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam on the platform.


Tom Cruise's Top Gun: Maverick will be available on Prime Video in India starting on December 26. The sequel to Cruise's 1986 smash hit Top Gun, from Paramount Pictures, will be accessible on the platform in India in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

On Friday, Prime Video announced the Top Gun: Maverick release date on its official Twitter account.

"All set to go on a brand-new journey while experiencing nostalgia like never before. 26th December, #TopGunMaverickOnPrime "In the tweet, the streamer stated.
The action spectacular finds Maverick preparing a crew of Top Gun grads for a specialised mission more than 30 years after the events of Tony Scott's Top Gun.


The sequel stars Ed Harris, Val Kilmer, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Charles Parnell, Bashir Salahuddin, Monica Barbaro, Jay Ellis, Danny Ramirez, Greg Tarzan Davis, and Cruise reprising his role as US Naval aviator Pete "Maverick" Mitchell.

Top Gun: Maverick, directed by Joseph Kosinski, is hailed as the highest-grossing movie of 2022, with recorded earnings of $1.488 billion (approximately Rs. 12,500 crore) globally. According to box office receipts, it was the twelfth-biggest film of all time. Additionally, it received many honours, including nominations for the Critics' Choice Movie Award for best picture and the Golden Globe Award for best motion picture — drama.

On Amazon's Prime Video, the movie has previously been available for online purchase or rental. On May 27 of this year, Top Gun: Maverick had its initial theatrical release.
